We’re a husband & wife team who love all things “story”. We appreciate good books, great TV & movies, and stories told over dinner. It’s no wonder we spend our time telling stories through film.
We are located in central Virginia where we’re building our dream farmhouse, raising two girls and cultivating a slow life. We value time with our families, good food, a slow morning, homemade cappuccinos, and a garden bursting in bloom.
Our lives aren’t extraordinary or big by how the world would define it. But our small life doesn’t feel very small to us. We find immense joy in the beautifully mundane and, usually, unseen things. We have learned the value & joy of finding fullness in every day; tiny moments of wonder and beauty that make life so special. That’s the foundation of how we feel about every story we tell. No moment is too big or too small to tell.

There is true power in video. Of course your photos will tell beautiful stories of your wedding day, but video holds your words, sounds, music and motion & those elements work together to tell stories and capture memories deeper than you could imagine. Your photos show what the day looked like. Video shows what the day felt like.
We are very hands on throughout the entire process from beginning to end. We are on site with every single couple, we show up with fresh eyes to every wedding, we never outsource editing, we listen to every piece of audio and watch every single clip. We are fully immersed in your story and we believe this sets us apart from others in the industry. We care deeply about our couples as individuals and care deeply about their story and making sure it’s told uniquely and intentionally. We’re about creating something deeper than just a pretty piece of work.
Our hope is that your film is a cherished reminder of each moment, big & small, for years to come. It’s true, your wedding photos & film will out live you & it deserves to stand the test of time. DO YOU SHOOT PHOTO & VIDEO TOGETHER?
You may have heard through the grapevine that we used to shoot photography and video together. For the first six years in the industry, we offered both. Over the years we’ve discovered our desire to turn our focus to only creating high-end & custom quality films. We’ve minimized our load so we can better serve our couples with more capacity, time & attention to detail.

WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER FILMMAKERS?
We are a husband and wife team: we’re a combination of David’s incredible skill & knowledge and Sarah’s creative storytelling & ability to make anyone feel comfortable; You don’t just get one or the other, you get the best of both. We believe our history in photographing weddings for many years has trained our eyes to naturally see every detail as we anticipate moments and capture the story well. Our history, in addition, positions us to understand the needs of your photographer and collaborate well.

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO SHOOTING WEDDINGS?
We really love to capture things as they are. We believe deeply in the power of moments being captured authentically, the first time. We rarely ask for moments to be repeated because our hearts desire is for you to look back and remember it as real. We are always trying to create environments for you to be yourselves, nothing forced. We see so much beauty in things that naturally happen, we rarely feel the need to recreate.

HOW LONG IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?
As a general rule, we like to say 10-12 weeks. This varies on the time of year that your wedding is held but we always try our best to get you your film as soon as we can! Some seasons will be shorter, such as spring weddings, while fall weddings may have a longer turnaround time. 12 weeks is our maximum delivery time.

HOW IS MUSIC CHOSEN FOR OUR FILM?
Part of our creative process is finding music that makes us feel how your day felt all over again. We pay great attention to the music in your film and make sure it fits you & your story well. Because we are legally required to license our music, we don’t take requests for specific songs. We ask that you trust our entire process of creativity & intentionality.

We are so thankful for each couple who allows us to tell their unique story. We take on a limited number of weddings per year to maintain the time & attention that makes our films so special.
